Open your phone (or your notes, if your phone's out of reach). Check: (1) which AI app is installed (2) whether notification previews are on or off for it (3) whether you're using a personal or work account. You're done when you've written a 1-line mobile rule (12 words or less) and flipped one setting to be safer, if needed — preview off, or work account only.

Phone AI chat is still work chat — lock the screen and the paste
Mobile AI apps (ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Copilot on phone) get the same work data as desktop — use the org-approved app, disable lock-screen widget previews for sensitive drafts, and never dictate client names on a train.
Worked example
Phone AI feels private just because it's in your pocket. It's still a cloud chat with history, screenshots, and sometimes even lock-screen previews. For work, install the same approved product you use on desktop, turn off notification previews for that app if your drafts include work content, and treat voice mode on public transit like you're on a speakerphone meeting. Send is still yours to own.
