Open the official 4.6 page. If you have Grok Build or Cursor: start up 4.6, do one small task on work you own, and write (1) what finished (2) what you wouldn't ship yet. If you have neither: write those same two lines about the last model switch you made in any assistant. You're done once the two lines exist.

Grok 4.6 shipped 12 August as a model you can run in Grok Build and Cursor — not only in Copilot. The skill is one owned task in the harness you already use, then inspect before you publish.
Worked example
The August 12 note opens a new door: 4.6 is now live in Grok Build and Cursor. That's different from picking 4.6 inside Copilot, which we already covered. Open whichever harness you actually have, give it one file or one bounded job you understand well, and judge the result yourself. Long-running agents in the marketing copy are not a license to stand up your own fleet. Merge, send, and publish are still yours.
