Take any prompt that gave you a mediocre answer. Regenerate once. If it's still off, add one line to the prompt naming exactly what's wrong ('too formal', 'missing costs', 'too long'). You're done when the edited prompt beats both dice rolls.

Regenerate vs rewrite — fix the prompt, not the dice
If two regenerations both miss, the prompt is the problem: edit the instructions rather than rerolling.
Worked example
Hitting regenerate is rolling dice; editing your prompt is fixing the game. Rule of thumb: one reroll is fine, but if the second try also misses, your instructions are the problem — add the constraint the output keeps violating.
