Hallucinations and checks
A hallucination is confident, wrong content — often mixed with real names or plausible structure. Real product names do not make a fake policy line true.
At work
- Board numbers need sources.
- Policy claims need the handbook or owner.
- Client promises need operations, not model tone.
Habit
**Verify before you act.** Use a second model to critique, then still check primary sources for anything that costs money or reputation.
