Hand work to an always-on bot

Some products now look less like a chat box and more like a colleague with a computer. Grok Bot (August 2026) is one: you message it, it signs into tools you already use, and it can keep working after you close the laptop.

The useful skill is not “watch the launch video.” It is standing up **one** job with a stop rule.

Pick a job that already repeats — overnight research drafts, CRM note cleanup, a meeting-prep folder. Write what “done” looks like in a sentence. Write what the bot must **not** do without you: send the email, spend money, delete, publish, change access. Then, if you have the product, give it that job and inspect the output the next morning the way you would inspect a contractor’s work.

If you do not have the tier (Grok Bot started on SuperGrok Heavy and Cursor Ultra / Teams), still write the five-line stand-up. The judgment is the lesson. Access is a later door.

Signing a bot into real apps is a badge, not a feature checkbox. Give it the smallest login that can finish the job. Do not paste passwords or client files into the thread “to help it get started.”

Same rails as any other send: the draft can be brilliant. You still own the commitment.
